i saw this setup (from a display in a store called fresh kills featured on apartment therapy). I thought it was very cool looking, but probably a bit dark for my taste. i liked the curvy vintagey mirror in contrast with the clean lines of the modern/mid-century style couch. i tend to go for more modern designs, but really dislike the sterile look of all straight lines and minimalism. more visually interesting pieces like this mirror make a space feel more homey to me. i even think it serves to emphasize the lovely simplicity of the modern lines more than if those modern lines were surrounded and accented with more modern lines.
