next time i need a flexible curtain solution, this is definitely the ticket. it is a telescoping rod system that goes floor to ceiling with an adjustable arm that you can hang a panel on. this way, there is no drilling, no holes, no worrying about where or how to mount hardware. it's not super cheap, but isn't outrageous, especially considering the flexibility. this could be used to divide up a room as well, though you would likely need to purchase several. overall, a very clever idea. found on better living through design.
